Kanye's "Power": This isn't a blog post it's a graphic novel. Wait, what?

If Kanye West's ego gets any bigger it's going to need its own Twitter account. Seriously. K Dub's legendary hubris is so out of control that he now thinks that he can turn a video into an oil painting. Just by proclaiming it so. (Insert your water-into-wine joke of choice here.) 

Thus, his newest video for "Power", which he's been plugging for days on his Twitter account as the "The Portrait of Power." Which might also be what he calls his reflection when he moon dances naked in front of the mirror every morning.   But, actually, it is a video. Albeit a video depicting West as a "king in crisis" surrounded by angelic, winged women fawning at his royal feet. And, yea, we suppose that we do see the resemblance to a Renaissance painting. If Da Vinci had a penchant for painting ego-maniacal fame monsters surrounded by painfully literal symbols of said fame monster's all-encompassing power. Not that we're painting Kanye with any particularly broad strokes here or anything. And while we guess it's nice to see a rap video that aims artistically higher than boobs, bling and booze...perhaps Kanye has slightly overshot his target. Kanye, I'm really happy for you and all, and Imma let you finish your campaign for world domination, but Eminem currently has you trumped for most buzzed about video of the hour. (Has enough time passed for that joke to make a re-appearance?)
