Robyn drops new video, hits HoB tomorrow

Robyn - Hang With Me official video from Robyn on Vimeo.

Robyn’s All Hearts Tour stops at the House of Blues tomorrow night, but the fancy Swedish pop princess gave us a sneak peek at life on the road today in her new video “Hang With Me.”

The Max Vitali-directed clip might be the finest look at the rigors of touring since Poison’s revealed all of the road’s excess — and relative boredom — in the 1986 video for “I Won’t Forget You.” Almost 25 years later it’s good to see that the road has gotten a bit less slutty, and when it comes to colorfully-dressed platinum-blonde performers making sounds from the ‘80s, we’ll no doubt take Robyn over CC DeVille.

The electropop-flavored “Hang With Me” is the latest single off Robyn’s upcoming middle-of-a-trigoly album Body Talk Part 2, an 8-track effort that smashes stateside dance floors Sept. 7 via Cherrytree Records. Luckily, we won’t have to wait that long to get a taste, as we’re certain to get a decent preview of her new jams tomorrow night on Lansdowne after openers Kelis and Dan Black do their own fairly different takes on modern r&b. (Side note: Don't miss Dan Black.)
