Snoop to Sookie: "Let's Do It Doggy Style"
Dude! True Blood is back and everyone is
sufficiently psyched out of their minds about it. And we mean everyone.
The HBO phenom that effectively blew both Twilight and network TV's way tamer (and lamer)
homage to the undead, The Vampire Diaries, out of the water, has even managed to spark
the interest of rap's resident Renaissance Man: the Snoop Double G.
Snoop digs the show so
much that he went ahead and made a song about it. Aptly titled
"Oh, Sookie." And it. Is. Awesome. True, Snoop Dizzle's pronunciation of
Sookie's name lacks the tenor of that of Bill
Compton, but what he lacks in elocution, the man more than makes up for
in lyricism. And steez. Both fang-bangers and gang-bangers will delight
in watching Snoop pimp-walk in front of Sam Merlotte's diner while
attempting to convince Sookie to drop Bill and get with a true Ole G.
"We'll do it in the day-time, Bill won't know a thing," he tells her.
And you gotta admit, you can't argue with the man's logic. Tune in if
only for Snoop's cleverly dropped references to the show; he clearly is a
fan. Plus, he "doesn't drink True Blood, he smokes true Bud." Sold.
