VIDEO: Emily Haines of BMP performers Metric does "Anthems" with Broken Social Scene (and Feist) in Toronto
Hey, did you hear? We're putting on a free show with our friends at WFNX (that's 101.7 on your radio dial in Boston; 92.1 in New Hampshire) in just a couple of weeks (meaning August 1)! And Canadian indie-popsters Metric, they of the current radio hit "Help, I'm Alive," are going to be there! And maybe if we're lucky . . . okay, they're probably not going to play the amazing "Anthems For a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl," a song Metric singer Emily Haines wrote for and performed on Broken Social Scene's well-regarded 2003 release You Forgot It In People. Instead, though, we'll likely have to content ourselves with this video from a special free show in Toronto in which Haines hops onstage with BSS, and gets some help with other former BSS cohorts Amy Milan and Leslie Feist.
