We cannot claim to have watched the whole thing as of now, but last night's South Park somehow involved Kanye West coming out as a gay fish and singing a ichthyological version of "Heartless" to celebrate said fact. You can watch the entire episode here.

Of course, Kanye West being notoriously thin-skinned and prone to somewhat unintentionally hilarious outbursts over all slights both real and perceived, many people were just as excited about Yeezy's response as they were about the episode itself.

Well, Kanye has posted his response, and it's... mature and reasonable? What?

SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT'S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER. I USE TO USE IT TO BUILD UP MY ESTEEM WHEN NOBODY BELIEVED IN ME. NOW THAT PEOPLE DO BELIEVE AND SUPPORT MY MUSIC AND PRODUCTS THE BEST RESPONSE IS THANK YOU INSTEAD OF "I TOLD YOU SO!!!"

On the one hand, good for him, particularly for showing a sense of humor about the whole thing. But on the other hand, we're concerned he might be less interesting if he tones it down too much. Double-edged sword and all that.

Hat tip to Idolator.
