Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr to play Boston solo date

Songs from Albert Hammond Jr's solo album have been floating around the internerd for a while now, and with the record due out next week (at least in countries like England and Japan), the kid has announced a couple of club dates. Gig #2 is at T.T. the Bear's Place on the night before Halloween. Try to contain your excitement. The entirety of what anyone knows about the record is pretty much summed up on his MySpace page -- which is "moderated by Albert's management, Wiz Kid Management, not by Albert himself, as he is busy touring, writing, rehearsing, etc." -- and all you really care about is that yes, there's a Julian cameo on it (also appearances by Sean Lennon, Ben Kweller, and the aforementioned MySpace-updating Wiz Kid Management person), and no, Albert is not leaving the Strokes.

BUY TICKETS: Albert Hammond, October 30 at T.T. the Bear's Place
