Meg and Dia: sister act of the year?

OMG, we're obsessing. Those of you familiar with OTD have figured out we have a weakness for girlgroops. This includes Korean-American girls surnamed Frampton who when they say they love Atreyu mean the character from Never Ending Story instead of the screamo band. In a nutshell, Meg and Dia can be summed up in seven words: Tegan and Sara meets Aly and AJ. In their debut video they turn on their heartlights. What's weird about this particular wave of '80s nostalgia is that it's now being sold to 34 year olds by people half their age.

Those of you who share our sickness are probably already midway through a google search in browser tab two already, but what the hell, here's some links. From what we gather, Dia sings and Meg plays guitar and the boys just showed up a few months ago. As for the girls, they're 18 and 21 and signed to Doghouse (which you should read as a euphemism for the fake-indie-to-major career trajectory of All American Rejects), and have an album out this summer produced by our fave faux-emo cheerleader: Stacy Jones, who gained a reputation for making girls pop in Letters to Cleo and Veruca Salt.
