Anyone who's ever cadged a photo pass knows the rules of takingpictures from the designated photographer's pit in front of the stage:(1) you get to shoot only the first three songs, and (2) no flashallowed. Then the bouncers hustle you back out with the masses, theidea being to limit the amount of time any one band can make asses ofthemselves for posterity. Drunk-punk deities NOFX managed to make amockery of both rules: they opened with the world's longest punk song(that is, all 18 minutes of "The Decline") and later broke the "noflash" rule when Fat Mike wound up with his pants around his knees --which wouldn't have been a big deal if dude had been wearing anyunderwear.Bouncers tried to kick the shutterbugs out of the pit after song 2,but thankfully we had our own NOFX expert Melissa Ostrow behind thelens, and she let security know what's what. Full show report comingin next week's fishwrap, but to put it mildly, Fat Mike was completelyshitfaced. As he put it at one point: "I wouldn't be so drunk if Icould get some coke."
