Our favorite Phoenix coverboy, Mr. Clay N. Ferno, finally has a full-length recording with his long-awaited New-Alliance-preened supergroup, Wild Zero. We're worried that too many introductory words might ruin the sheer rock-and-roll resplenditude of his band's following 'sclusive track, but bathroom-themed mixtape-makers beware: this is a sleaze-rawk song about trying to get sexy chicks clean. (Cue to fit beside "Smokin' in the Boys' Room.") Our favorite lines go, "I got a lady/Tough and mean/In the shower/Never get clean" followed by what we think is him saying, "Said are you ready, hon/For my love to come, yeah!" If those are actually the latter lyrics, Ferno may've actually mastered that water-sex problem everybody else struggles with when they try to screw in the pool. Pass that shit along, will ya?
Anyways, we saw Wild Zero (it's a Guitar Wolf reference, in case you're stupid) last summer for their early-afternoon Middle East Downstairs debut, back when they covered the Dead Boys because they had more time allotted than actual songs, and Mr. Ferno was actually a pretty rad punk-rock frontman live. See for yourself tonight at Great Scott when Wild Zero plays BlackOut Bar with everyone's favorite onstage-drinkers Motherboar.
