Cream of the Crust

If Angus Young, Dee Dee Ramone, Nigel Tufnel, and some 18th-century fop in a powdered wig had an orgy and somehow conceived, their spawn might look and sound something like local rock royalty the UPPER CRUST. Lord Bendover and his band were recently out in LA, selling out clubs and hobnobbing with an assemblage of punk patricians -- they appeared on Dicky Barrett's radio show and rubbed elbows with former Sex Pistol Steve Jones and Tenacious D's Kyle Gass. We can't even remember the last time they played around here, so if you were too young to have caught the band when they were a fixture in the local scene, get your knickers on and head down to the Jorge Hernández Cultural Center for a solid and eclectic bill that also includes TINY HAWKS, RADAR EYES, and KEYS TO THE STREETS OF FEAR / 85 West Newton St / Boston 8:30 pm / $10 / 857.373.9086.
