Cloud pleaser

Thanks to K. Bonami for snapping these flicks.

Friday night’s Black Dice show at the MFA Remis Auditorium was so good it's still ringing in our broken ears on Monday. Given the venue, the "indie-rock" concert series kickoff drew a triple-Lexus-load of middle-aged, skirt-and-suited couples, likely beneficiaries of largesse-styled free passes expecting Ansel Adams on wax — at the very least, something with, like, words. Every single one of 'em were suitably horrified by these strange art-school creatures stationed behind electronic/synth rigs and their bug-zapping, proto-industrial, DFA-madness shit. Most of them walked out after 15. Wasn't this supposed to be Native American rock?
