'Lively Experiment' Gets a Tune-Up

WSBE-TV's "Lively Experiment," a politics and public affairs talk show, is getting a makeover. There will be a new set, taped segments to lend context to issues discussed by the panel, and a new host - former WJAR-TV political reporter and current communications consultant Dyana Koelsch.

The changes, effective in early May, also include a new time slot: 8:30 p.m. on Friday nights, after "Washington Week," creating what WSBE calls a "one-hour block of political punditry."

The station is billing the changes as the most significant in the show's 24-year history. Koelsch will be the third permanent host and the first woman. She replaces James Hagan, former president of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.
