UPDATED: Young's Reach

It took the ProJo a day to acknowledge the signature moment in Tuesday night's Providence mayoral debate - serial candidate Christopher Young's marriage proposal to long-time girlfriend Kara Russo - but as the paper notes this morning, it has caught on nationwide: the HuffPost, MSNBC (lead story on the web site, as I write), you name it.

It may finally be time to acknowledge the strange genius of Rhode Island's leading political provocateur.

UPDATE: An astute reader notes that the ProJo did put up a blog post Wednesday afternoon, the day after the debate, on Young's wedding proposal. But it did not appear in the story on the debate that appeared in the paper Wednesday morning. Still a day late, I'd say. But this is no major offense.
