Gubernatorial Debate

An interesting gubernatorial debate afoot, that will touch on some important issues that might otherwise get short shrift in the campaign. All the major candidates have committed to attending. From the release:

The Women’s Fund of Rhode Island and The Poverty Institute are co-hosting a gubernatorial candidates forum on Tuesday May 4, 2010 at 6PM at the Lincoln School.

Lisa Churchville, General Manager of NBC 10 will moderate the forum and close to 20 women’s organizations from around the state will ask questions of the candidates. Some of the topics that will be covered include: teen pregnancy and sex education, women’s political participation, economic self sufficiency, domestic violence, education, racial disparities, the implications of health care reform for Rhode Island women, and workplace flexibility.
