N4N has the scoop on the campaign team assembled by Joe Fernandez, candidate for attorney general. Campaign manager Rose Jackson, long scheduled to take up a fellowship in Kenya, is leaving her post early after that fellowship was bumped up by six months.
Dan Herkert, who worked as downstate field director for Dan Hynes' near-miss primary challenge to Illinois Governor Pat Quinn this year, will serve as the new campaign manager. Daniel Greeley, who worked on Betsy Markey's successful congressional bid in Colorado, will be the campaign's finance director.
Karen Petel, a Central Falls native and former political director for Emily's List, will handle the mail operation. She has long been a mail consultant for Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Roberts and several members of Congress.
Anna Bennett of Bennett, Petts, and Normington, will be the campaign's pollster. She has worked on the Clinton-Gore and Obama for America campaigns, among others.
Matt Erickson of Laguens Kully Klose Partners, whose firm worked on Jennifer Lawless' failed Democratic challenge to Jim Langevin in 2006, will be the media consultant. He has worked for Senators Jon Tester, Ben Cardin, and Debbie Stabenow.
