CPAs to the Rescue

Rhode Island politics is, in the end, an amateur affair. We've got a part-time legislature, after all - a not insignificant factor in our political malfunction. But there's an interesting little effort afoot to inject a little professionalism into Rhody campaigns: the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants is offering free help for candidates in filling out campaign finance reports. Welcome news on Smith Hill, I'm sure - where math, if our budget woes are any indication, is not a strong suit.
