Pawtucket Mayor James Doyle, long thought to be stepping down at the end of this term, says he is "undecided" about whether he will seek re-election in the fall. His decision will have implications for city government, of course, but it could also have an impact on other races.
If he steps down, there would be presumably be a lively race to replace him. That could draw more voters to the polls - and potentially boost the fortunes of Pawtucket's Bill Lynch and Peter Kilmartin, running for Congress and Attorney General, respectively.
