True North Hires Former Cicilline Aide

Providence – True North Communications, a Providence-based public relations firm, today announced a new addition to its staff. Mark Rhoads, formerly of Providence Mayor David Cicilline’s office, will join the firm as an account executive.

A graduate of Providence College in 2008, Rhoads holds a degree in political science and a certificate in business. He was the outreach director for the Providence College Democrats where he coordinated voter outreach activities for the Greater Providence community. He also built homes for families with Habitat for Humanity; was an organizer for the 1% Campaign, a grassroots organization to help raise awareness and money for the homeless in Rhode Island; and participated in Urban Action.

“Mark is a very talented and enthusiastic individual and I’m excited to have him join the True North team,” said Bill Fischer, president. “His community involvement and grass roots experience will be a real asset to the firm and enhance the services we offer our clients.”

Rhoads will work closely with True North clients such as the Landmark Medical Center, Rhode Island Mayoral Academies, Nestor Traffic Systems, and Goosewing Hotels & Resorts facilitating press and advertising opportunities.
