Kudos + Congrats, TGIF edition

K+C to . . .

-- The all-female hierarchy running the Good 5 Cent Cigar, URI's student newspaper, the first time this has happened since the paper was established in 1971.

Business Manager Katrina Nacci, a sophomore finance major from Coventry, completes the female sweep.

-- to Dustin Pedroia, for winning a well-deserved Gold Glove.

-- to Phoenix contributing illustrator Steve Brosnihan, an all-around good guy, whose new book is now available for sale:

Otherwise, you can purchase "Anyone Can Draw Cartoonagrams" through the mail by using the attached order form. The website dedicated to the book, www.cartoonagrams.com, is still under construction. We are currently trying to work out the credit card purchase option for the site. We should have that in place soon ("we" being myself and my editor, Richard Goldman).
-- to Carrie Marsh, formerly with Buff Chace's Cornish Associates, who, after returning to Rhode Island from Maine, is now executive director of CommunityWorks RI, a new community statewide community development organization based in Providence. It was formed by the merger of the Elmwood Foundation and Greater Elmwood Community Services.
