Evelyn's Drive-In open for business

One of my favorite New England seafood shacks, Evelyn's Drive-in in Tiverton, sends word that it has opened for the season. Evelyn's does a great job with its seafood -- the gut-busting fisherman's platter is enough for two -- and it's a great stop while coming or going from Little Compton. The venerable establishment was recently featured on the Food Network to boot.

As part of a "staycation" last week, N4N also enjoyed meals at Quito's in Bristol, another traditional favorite, and Narragansett newcomer Trio, which was reviewed in last week's Phoenix. The best discovery, though, after a tour of the Westport Rivers winery and the Buzzards Bay brewery, both excellent, btw, was the Bayside in Westport, Massachusetts. The food is nop-notch, reasonably priced, and the setting, with a water and dune view, is gorgeous. If you're looking for a fun outing before the onset of summer crowds, check it out.
