The RI blogosphere moves forward

Rhode Island's Future is up with a new look and a new format. Here's what Matt Jerzyk has to say about the evolution of his blog:

The RI Future blog has made some substantial changes in order to create a more democratic blog so that YOU the reader have more power to make this YOUR blog.

Click here to read about all the changes and how to get started.

Basically, all you have to do is register a user name and a password and then you will have the power to post "diaries" and "comments."  This allows every blog reader the chance to post diaries about any topic they choose and you don't have to be slaves to my fancy!

Further, blog readers can "recommend" diaries that they like and these diaries will get promoted on at the top of the front page.  This way, democracy will direct which diaries get the most attention.

This is the short version and again click here for the full "How To Guide" about using the new RI Future blog.

Finally, we will be keeping an archive of the "old" RI Future blog and its 4,000 posts and 35,000 comments at this link for your archival and research needs.  Click here to access and bookmark it.

Meanwhile, our conservative friends over at Anchor Rising have personalized their posts with some well-rendered portraits. Props to Marc for incorporating the Sox cap.
