The true cost of the war in Iraq

Tomorrow at 5:30 pm, Moveon.org is sponsoring a news conference on the steps of Providence City Hall to focus attention on the cost to Rhode Islanders of the war in Iraq.

Wonder what the war is really costing you and Rhode Island?  Join us to hear directly from those being impacted and hear the actual figures the was is costing our state.

Stephen Hogan, Aids RI, Development DirectorHow programs for people with aids have been affected from the War.

 

Judge Jay R. Miller, The war even impacts the courts.  The State is “saving money” by treating 17 year olds as adults and sentencing offenders to the ACI instead of the RI Training School. Is the ACI really less expensive and is it the right choice to make?
