HOT REINCARNATION: The Space Formerly Known as Saint

The nightlife industry runs at a rapid pace and sees plenty of revolving doors, yet Saint (90 Exeter Street, Boston, 617.236.1134) has stayed in Boston's good graces for nearly a decade. When it opened in 2002, the interior was of-the-moment sleek and sexy. It helped usher in a new era of "ultra-lounges" as massive dance clubs closed, and it quickly became a hit with visiting celebrities. But the one-time Back Bay beauty has now aged enough to merit a facelift, so it's slated to close in late July for a renovation project that will include a redesign of the entire space and upgrades of audio-visual components. Plus, when it reopens in late summer with a still-hush-hush new name, one portion of the compartmentalized club will include a small-plates menu and a cocktail program that promises to go beyond Red Bull and vodka-level libations. Those closest to the project are mum on details, but we have faith that this nightlife team will answer partygoers' prayers again.
