New in the Phoenix: Is a sex change news?

In which I argue that the more sober treatments of Aiden Quinn's trans status were entirely appropriate, despite some of the more absurd and incendiary commentary they engendered.

Also, a correction--in the piece, I refer to Michele McPhee's FOIA request to the MBTA. As a sharp-eyed reader quickly noted, McPhee actually made a request under the Mass. Public Records Law, the state corollary to the federal Freedom of Information Act.

That sharp eyed reader that corrected you is Michelle. I also say...you give McPhee a pass on all of her errors etc. You have not once ever criticized Michelle. You are afraid of Michelle because she is a bully.

This is a person whose stories, by in large, do not hold up.

No, Jack O., it wasn't McPhee.

And Pesaturo's statement notwithstanding, I'm still not convinced McPhee is wrong in this particular case, because I haven't been able to get detailed information on how the MBTA lottery worked the year Quinn got his job.

Feel free to drop me a line the next time you think I should take note of something McPhee's said/written. I'm at areilly@thephoenix.com.
