Obama boosts net neutrality

Remember when the Wall Street Journal suggested that Barack Obama was backing away from his stated commitment to Net Neutrality?

The best thing about Obama tapping Julius Genachowski as his FCC head is that it seems to confirm that the Journal was wrong. From the Journal's own write-up of the Genachowski pick:

During the campaign, Mr. Genachowski served as the top technology adviser to Mr. Obama, putting together a detailed technology and innovation plan that expressed support for open Internet or "net neutrality" protections; media-ownership rules that encourage more diversity; and expansion of affordable broadband access across the country.

Good news.
