Grammy Watch - Ray's in the hunt
Grammy
watch: Ray
LaMontagne's newest album, God
Willin' and the Creek Don't Rise, has been nominated for three awards,
including song of the year for "Beg Steal or Borrow," plus Best Contemporary
Folk album and Best Engineered Album (non-classical). The latter is slightly
ironic considering Ray ditched uber-producer Ethan Johns this time around and
recorded in his Western Mass. farmhouse.
Another
Mainer who just missed out on a Grammy nod was Matt Bishop, who wrote and produced "Every
Page I Turn" for Jonathan Edwards, and made it through the initial panel
selections into the final stage, but didn't end up with a nomination in the
end.
