Heading to DC for Stewart or Colbert rallies?
If you're interested in heading to Washington DC on October 30 to attend either Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity or Stephen Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive, hop the bus from the Portland Transportation Center (yeah, that's the Concord Coach Lines/Amtrak Downeaster station over on Thompson's Point), for just $95.
Oh - it leaves at 12:30 am on October 30, and departs from DC again at 6 pm. (If you're interested in keeping those hours, you need some Sanity Restored, and if you get as much sleep as that suggests, it's no wonder Fear is Alive in you.)
Check it out and sign up - they need 40 committed riders if the bus is going to actually go. (Of course, if you can make it to HuffPo HQ in NYC, you can ride for free. But frankly, that'll be a mob scene, and wouldn't you rather sleep for the 10 hours you'll be in transit each way, rather than fight your way through Manhattan?)
Of course, the fact that this bus is for people going to EITHER rally raises the important question of which side of the bus the Fear-Mongers will sit on - we're guessing the right - and which side will remain for the Sanity Restorers (yeah, probably whatever's left...).
