Art on marriage equality
The Institute of Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art will open an exhibit today around the issue of marriage equality, led off with a husband-husband documentation of a same-sex relationship, but extending to real-estate open houses and revolutions.
Word is, it also includes a chronicle by a woman who married and divorced four times in six months. (Yes, all of them were part of her art project - and three of her marriages were to men, and one to a woman.)
The husband-husband pair will give a performance at 1 pm today to open the show, and will perform again on Friday during the First Friday Art Walk reception for the show.
Stop by then and find out about other related events later in the month, and into October.
