In which Mitt Romney tells us how to vote
Yes, you heard it here first - Mainers vote the way former Massachusetts governors ask them to. (Most of the people of Maine do really live in Northern Massachusetts anyway, you know...)
So we're very relieved that Mitt Romney, failed Republican presidential candidate, has made endorsements in major election races in Maine. You will be stunned to know that this lying arch-conservative about whom our colleagues at the Boston Phoenix have written so much has endorsed ... wait for it ... three Republicans.
Yes, that's right. Tea Party fave Paul LePage gets Romney's nod for governor. (If that's suggesting LePage will echo Romney's results in the Bay State, then this might actually be a useful statement to help us evaluate LePage!)
Dean Scontras, who is a very nice man with whom I am still startled to share a planet, gets the Romney bump in his challenge to 1st District Congresswoman Chellie Pingree.
And Jason Levesque, whom I have not met but whose campaign posts strange blog items, gets Mitt's boost to challenge 2nd District Congressman Mike Michaud.
