Help East Wave Radio
Portland-based rock/reggae band East Wave Radio were in a single-van crash in Canada over the weekend, and need your help. Specifically, your musical talents, your ears, and your cash.
They were on tour with Canadian reggae star Jah Cutta, who was also in the vehicle, according to a post on EWR's Web site. At least two people were ejected from the vehicle - because they were sleeping in the back of the van. Dave Gagne and Johnny Venom "are in critical but stable condition, with some serious injuries," the EWR Web site reports. Ed Dickhaut "is OK."
Family members are on their way to the hospital in Saskatchewan.
You can send your thoughts to them on FaceBook
but you should know that there will be a benefit for them on May 16 at the Big Easy. Several bands are playing and local businesses are donating items for a benefit auction. If you want to play or donate, or just learn more, check out the EWR Web site or e-mail Lisa at the Big Easy.
