Cops and verse

You've probably seen the 2010 calendars around town, featuring work by Portland poets, photographers, and cops. Their sales benefit the family of Sgt. Rick Betters, who died of natural causes earlier this year.

One of the local poets involved is our own Megan Grumbling, and she and all the writers will be at a free reading on Monday, December 14, from 6 to 8 pm at One Longfellow Square. (It was postponed from Wednesday because of the snowstorm.)

Other participants include Marty Pottenger and Betsy Sholl. Go check it out!
