Go see this.

My great friend Chris Newcomb, with whom I shared the stage in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest about a year ago (!?), is putting on a show at the North Star tonight. "This Side of Denial" is a collection of personal monologues about gay life in Portland; I've read some of them and seen one performed, and I can attest that Chris' candor and humor make the pieces worth seeing. He and some friends -- stage vets and virgins alike -- will start the performance at 7 p.m.
