Spilling secrets

Two upcoming events will take on the subject of secret lives, from decidedly different perspectives.

  • Just a few days later, a famous collector of private thoughts -- Frank Warren, creator of PostSecret -- will give a lecture at Bates College. On Monday, March 9, at 7 pm, Warren will talk about his role as "The Most Trusted Stranger in America." Indeed, with more than 1,000 postcards arriving at Warren's home address each week (each one anonymously inscribed with some mundane or dire secret), it's clear that people trust this self-described "accidental artist" with their deepest thoughts. Tickets for this event are $11; visit for more info.
