Six-word memoirs!!!

I love shit like this. It gives me an excuse to be more angsty than usual. The Phoenix is pairing up with New York-based Smith Magazine to solicit six-word summaries of romantic life, the best of which will be published in a book. (This will be the second such installment; Smith Mag's Six-Word Memoirs on Love and Heartbreak (Harper Perennial) came out in January.)

All you've gotta do is select six words -- and arrange them just so -- that describe your love life, or lack thereof. Note: this is not supposed to be fiction, a la Heminigway's baby shoes story. Learn more about the project and how to submit your own on the Phlog

So far, I've come up with these:

I got stuck in my teens.

Easily distracted, in love and at work. FAIL. that was seven words.

Beverly Hills 90210 isn't real life?

At least I'm narrowing things down.

I could survive on drama, words, pizza. FAIL. so was that.

Make me laugh, I'll love you.

Thought life was settled; it's not.

Lame to want a house, baby?st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) }

Have a few hours to waste? Here are some addictive sites in a similar voyeuristic/self-indulgent vein:'s Dating Confessions (I read these multiple times a day) (I'm listening to Eliot Krimsky's right now)

Craigslist Missed Connections (would be more interesting if I ever found myself on there)
