Idea for White House garden started in Maine

Last spring, we wrote about Mainer Roger Doiron's efforts to encourage Barack Obama to replant a Victory Garden on the White House lawn. It seems we're not the only ones who think Doiron's is a great idea.

  • In October, his video, in which he describes his idea and records himself planting a garden in front of his own "white house" (in Scarborough), won third place in the Brighter Planet Climate Matters video contest. Watch it yourself:
