Warrants issued for Bush, Cheney

Two Vermont towns have voted to issue arrest warrants for President George W. Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney, if they're not impeached before they come to town. (Bush has never visited Vermont during his presidency, so there's not much risk there.) Check out the local coverage by the Brattleboro Reformer, including the news story and the editorial on the matter.

This is relevant because independent candidate for US Senate Laurie Dobson has called for the voters of Kennebunkport to approve a similar resolution, which we told you about before she announced it (see "Arresting the President," February 22).

It's unclear whether the voters of K'port will follow the lead of Brattleboro and Marlboro, but it sure makes for good conversation.
