ARTS - Honoring commitment

A Company of Girls needs some more nominations for its annual Arthur Hall Award, recognizing an artist whose commitment to community has made Maine a better place. The award's namesake died in 2000 in Camden, after a long career bringing dance to schools, communities, colleges, and the public around the world.

The group has received very few nominations and needs some more. The extended deadline is February 15. To learn more, contact Odelle Bowman, director of A Company of Girls, PO Box 7257, Portland, ME 04112, by phone at 207.874.2107, or by e-mail at retablos@rcn.com.
